Individual Coaching
How do I know if I need parent coaching?
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want to be more confident in your parenting, coaching might help. Whether you're facing specific challenges or just want to strengthen your parenting toolkit, coaching can provide valuable support and strategies.

What makes parent coaching different from reading parenting books?
While books offer great information, coaching provides personalized support and strategies tailored to your family's unique needs. We can troubleshoot specific situations, adjust approaches in real-time, and build on what's already working for your family.

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
While therapy often focuses on healing past experiences, coaching focuses on present challenges and future goals. We work together to develop practical strategies for positive change. Note that coaching doesn't replace therapy - many families benefit from both.

What happens in a discovery call?
During our free 30-minute call, we'll discuss your current challenges, what you hope to achieve through coaching, and how I might help. This is your chance to ask questions and ensure we're a good fit before making any commitments.

How long does coaching typically last?
Most families find success with 6-8 weekly sessions. However, some parents prefer shorter check-ins or longer-term support. We'll create a plan that fits your unique needs and goals.

What's your approach to parenting challenges?
I believe in building on your family's existing strengths while adding practical tools to your parenting toolkit. We'll focus on understanding your child's behavior, managing big emotions (yours and theirs), and creating stronger family connections.

Do you work with both parents/caregivers?
Absolutely! I encourage all caregivers to participate when possible. Consistent approaches between parents often lead to better outcomes. However, I also work effectively with single parents or one caregiver at a time.

How soon can we start seeing changes?
Many parents report feeling more confident after just a few sessions. However, lasting change takes time and practice. We'll work at a pace that feels manageable for your family, celebrating small wins along the way.

Do I need to read certain books or materials?
While I may recommend helpful resources, there's no required reading. I provide handouts and tools as needed, and we focus on practical strategies you can implement right away.

What happens between sessions?
You'll have opportunities to practice new strategies and observe what works for your family. I provide simple tools and activities to try, but there's never pressure to complete "homework."

Can I contact you between sessions?
Yes! I'm available via email or text for quick questions or updates between sessions. Having support during challenging moments can make a real difference.

What if my child or parenting parnter is resistant to changes?
Change takes time, and some resistance is normal. We'll focus on gradual, manageable shifts that feel doable for everyone. The goal is progress, not perfection.
